Red Top Motor Inn

Absolutely Wonderful Stay! I had the best experience at Red Top Motor Inn Motel! The rooms were incredibly clean, tidy, and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, kind, and welcoming — they truly made me feel at home. The food was excellent, and the fact that free parking was available made everything even more convenient. The room was well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, and TV, which added to the comfort and value. Overall, it was the perfect place to stay, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Rooms are dated but we like that sort of thing. Service was exceptional. We arrived for are check in two hours ahead of check in time and were given our rooms at no extra cost with no issues. We ordered from there restaurant and had are meals deliverd to our room. The butter chicken and curry vegetables with basmati and homemade naan bread was authentic and delicious. The new owners are doing exceptional. This motel is everything we love about crossing Ontario.

The restaurant was spectacular, excellent Indian food made spicy enough for those accustomed to heat. The staff was lovely and friendly and tried very hard to please us during the stay. I travelled with my dog and had no issues with finding an appropriate room with plenty of outdoor space nearby. Room was only average but overall the experience was great. Would stay again.

Hotel is easily accessible on the Trans-Canada Highway the room are from the 50s but well kept, good value. Rooms had smart TV's that could accommodate all the streaming services. Microwave and fridge plus a coffee pot. It was good to see they kept the traditional look but added modern conveniences. Friendly staff I think I dealt with the owner. The food was basic but very good. Had Fish and Chips and my mike had their hamburgers. Fast service and prices were reasonable. My only negative was the curry smell, it was overwhelming. My wife wore a sweater during dinner and the next day it was cool and wore the same sweater in the car. We couldn't get rid of the curry odour. Two days later when I returned the rental car you could still smell it. Note: The rooms did not have any odours just in the restaurant and office.

An older motel with newer owners who are very intent on doing well. The buildings and rooms need some refreshing but they are functional and have everything you need. The price was kind of high but the motel was full so it must be priced right for the location. The real highlight though was the restaurant onsite. The owners cook for you and they bring some amazing flavours. I enjoyed their handmade masala chai and my family thought their butter chicken the best they had ever tasted. I had their fish pakora as a starter and the fish was light, fluffy, and perfectly battered with a tasty dip. Even at breakfast there was an Indian-themed egg dish. We would return in a second just for the food.

Stayed at this place while on a motorcycle trip up through northern Ontario. The rooms are dated/ looks like they’re out of the 1950’s but it has its charms. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, and have decent amenities. Good coffee machine, fridge, microwave and a smart TV too so you can watch Netflix. Overall for the price of the room you can’t go wrong! The couple who own the place are very nice and helpful. The restaurant is great too. They cook an amazing butter chicken. Had it the second night I stayed here and wished I’d ordered it the first night. The first night, the owners hooked up a tv in the dining room so we could watch the Stanley Cup finals. Overall very happy with my stay here and would stay here again.

We had the best time here. We centered out trip around Sault St Marie and Wawa from this location. We spent 4 days here without a hitch. We were travelling with 2 dogs and this place had the easiest green space right in front of the rooms which made the dog walks a breeze. The sweet Gujrati couple who runs this place were very welcoming. Darshan makes these amazing Gujrati home made curries. We look forward to our next visit.
